Bought a new computer!!!!!!
I just bought a new computer, it should be delivered on Wednesday. It has a 1TB hard drive and 6GB of RAM memory, and the price was sweet!!! 1,079 reais for the computer and a Samsung 18.5" monitor (that's 620 dollars, on yesterday's rate). Believe me, it was cheap.
My current computer is pretty slow and the motherboard is dying in a slow and painful manner. My monitor is some six years old and the screen turns pink, and orange, and blue at random and most inopportune times.
I'm pretty excited, because this is the first time I buy a computer on my own (well, actually I'm going to split the payments with my sister, but it's the first time we replace everything at once). We finally will be able to update to a Windows 7 (we're currently using XP) and the hard drive is three times larger than ours (which is almost full after I downloaded several seasons of several series, and did not burn the videos on DVDs because the drive is broken). It's going to be exhausting to transfer all the data to the new computer, but it will be better to finally work on a machine which does not require you to wait ages for the start menu to show up when you click on it...
