I am sick of working on this school shooting story - you know, the guy who killed 12 kids in a public school in Rio last week? The cops keep finding notes and videos that this sick bastard did, in which he blames bullies for his actions, says people took advantage of his goodness.
His goodness. Now, take a moment to appreciate the irony, people: a guy who shot 12 kids in the head in cold blood, injuded other 11, talking about goodness and innocence.
Now, I know everyone says this guy was not sane, but the more I read and watch him, the angrier I get. Oh, he was bullied as a kid? Why didn't he kill the guys who bullied him, then? Why returning to school after ten years to kill kids who'd never heard of him?
I'm sorry if the guy was insane, but I seriously have no patience for it anymore. I'm pissed off, and have absolutely no sympathy for idiots who think innocents must pay for the suffering they were subjected to a decade ago. No matter what mental problems they might have.
First of all, there have been no reports of anything worse than name-calling. At least I haven't seen a thing about him being beaten up, sexually abused, or even harrassed by teachers. And though I understand that name-calling is wrong and kids can be fucking cruel, if one cannot survive name-calling... dude, go live in an island, because it's much worse when you leave school. Yes, it's wrong. Yes, it's cruel. But it will not stop just because you want to, OK? The world is not nice, damn it. Maybe it should be, but it's not, and maybe some day it will change, but until then, we need to keep going.
Besides, I don't know, something is not right with this story. It looks too much like a readymade speech, just something he is throwing to the public to justify the time he's been given in the evening news. I still stand by my first theory that he's some religious woman-hater freak. An insane one, right, but a woman-hater nonetheless.
Because everyone knows girls were his main target. Seriously, why is everyone forgetting that he targeted girls? Out of the 12 victims, 10 were girls. A survivor said he shot the girls in the head and the boys in the arms or legs. This is femicide, people! Why the damn press is so reluctant to say that? It's clear as damn crystal! No girl wanted to date him, he kills a bunch of pretty 12-year-olds. It's simple. The whole bullying talk seems to be more a cover-up story than anything else. As if he's embarrassed at his own stupidity.
