108 days to victory

I really need to get on the ball.  I skipped cardio last night and didn't get up this morning to hit the treadmill.  I was hungry when I got home last night, and by the time I ate dinner (grilled chicken and green beans) I was tired and just wanted a bath.  Then I slept really hard last night, got up to pee about 1:30 this morning, and reset the alarm.  I'm going to the gym tonight to do legs, I'll get up tomorrow morning and do Body Combat (yay kickboxing!) tomorrow morning, and hit the treadmill again Sunday morning.  Next week I have to start pushing it.  I have 7 more pounds to lose this month to keep on track.  Don't want to get to the beginning of March and still have 20 pounds to go.  At that point I might as well throw in the towel and hand over the $250.

Krispy Kreme donuts today.  I'm noshing on almonds.  I will be strong and not have a single donut today.  Just over an hour until lunch (turkey sandwich and a banana).  These almonds will hold me over until then.  Besides, it's steak night, so I have that to look forward to!

Made it until lunch without noshing on donuts!  Having those almonds really helped.

The donuts are calling me.  I have about an hour or so until my next meal.  I'm not really hungry, per se, but I know that there are a few regular Krispy Kremes sitting in that box.  So instead, I will chew on some gum to satisfy the sweet craving and keep my mouth busy.

There was a trick I read about a long time ago, where if someone who was on a diet wanted a "forbidden" food, she would go brush her teeth.  Eating anything after brushing teeth tastes funky, so there is an option.  I can keep a toothbrush and some toothpaste here, and brush whenever I find myself reaching for the junk food.  And there would be the added benefit of better oral hygiene!

Almost time to go, and the siren song of the donuts has decreased.  I don't know how many are left - I haven't looked since I took a peek earlier this morning.  I'll be leaving in about half an hour - I hope the protein shake and almonds I eat on the way to the gym tide me over for my entire workout.

Worked legs today.  It's been three months since I last did legs, and I could tell!  My legs were all wobbly right after I finished.  I made it through all but one exercise.  And made a new personal best - 230lbs on the leg press!  The last time I did leg press, I did 210 lbs.  I think I'll be at 4 plates (2 45' plates on each side) by the end of the year.

Friday was steak night; had a 7oz steak, baked potato, and broccoli.
