a day to remember

For those of you that don't know, today is my brother's birthday. He would be twenty years old today, however, he had numerous health problems and passed away after fifteen months. I never knew him since he passed away almost exactly a year before I was born, but I still feel connected to him. Whenever I say "I'm an only child" I always think of him and wonder if I should mention him. I honestly don't know how my parents got through the ordeal. I can't imagine going through something like that. He was partially downsyndrome and partially mosaic and I often wonder how my life would be different if he were here today. If my personality would be the same having him around. I would have liked to have had a brother.
