Holiday update
If you still haven't sent me your address and would like an Xmas card, please let me know! :) I just mailed out a batch yesterday (67 of them!!) and will likely be sending the rest tomorrow...
In other news... ;)
The work holiday party went well. We were the best dressed there, and the big mucky-mucks seemed to like that. We were mobbed on our way in and our way out for pictures and to be told how great we looked and how glad they were that we made it out. It was amusing. Everyone there was nice and they all loved seeing us dressed up. She wore a tux complete with tailcoat, and I was in a long evening gown. The few at work who hadn't met her but know all about her were thrilled to finally meet her. The food was okay, there was some dancing and games. I won a $20 Target gift card. I also received a $25 one from my student's parents for helping him. That was pretty cool! I wasn't expecting that. Apparently I'm making enough of a difference that they're noticing... *shrug* For our secret santa exchange, I got a Starbucks card and some Lindt chocolates in a Russian doll tin.
Xmas shopping is nearly done, which is good cause I'm really broke now. :(
Last night was our friend Dianne's birthday. We had pizza and drinking at a friend's house, then went bowling in formalwear, and ending in a couple rounds of Apples To Apples back at the friend's house again. Much fun had by all. :)
Today we're taking my neice to Children's Fairyland in Oakland. Yay, Fairyland! Anyone else remember going there as a kid? Such a fun place...
There will be movies at sepher's place on Christmas for our weekly movie night. Boo and I will probably be there earlier just because we're doing Xmas on Xmas Eve with her family, so feel free to call and see if we're around and stop on by. :D Otherwise, we'll all be there late and will watch movies and such as usual.
Ooooohhhh! Terry Pratchett's The Hogfather!!! Mini-series. Live action. It rocks. Find a copy and watch it. XD The actress playing Susan... HOT. And Death kicks so much ass!!!! And Death of Rats!! SQUEEE!! All around awesomeness!!! XD
