This thing called life...

Went out to KoC after work last night for bluize's belated birthday party. It was fun, a lot of people turned up. There was lots of pizza and chocolate to be had as well. LOL Alicia called me earlier, having returned from her NY vacation. She thought about coming out after getting off work, but decided she was too tired, so we chatted on the phone for a little bit while she drove home. She's interested in coming out with us to see Terry Pratchett, but works Tuesday night. Hmm, more motivation for me to go on Wednesday instead, I think... ;)
Work still not picking up. Not looking good. I've been submitting my resume around. Got one call yesterday morning and did a phone interview. He said he'll be in touch with me either way within the next week, as they're doing phone interviews all week first. We'll see. It's an 8-5 M-F job. Scary. But hey, it means I'll have my weekends and early evenings free again! I just won't be able to sleep in any more. LOL Ah well.
Watched The Maxx last night. I remember there being more to it than the two hours, neatly wrapped up, on the tape. Hrm. *scratches head* Ah well. They should make a movie. *grin* I'd be great! Oooh, I can't wait till Aeon Flux comes out!! *happy dance*
Most people are going to the Fairy Party tonight. No costume + No money = Not going. Maybe next year...
The theatre a couple blocks down Winchester from JustNate's place, and it's playing Madagascar for $0.25 cents both Saturday (today) and Sunday (tomorrow). As I haven't seen it yet, and you really can't do better than that price, I'm thinking I'll try to catch it tomorrow before work. Anyone else want to see a cheap funny cartoon? ;)
Sunday after work Mildee wants to hang out, so we're going to make buffalo burgers and salad. Then we're going to watch Confessions Of An Ugly Stepsister. She hadn't heard of it either, and doesn't usually make it out to movie gatherings. So, I guess anyone interested in watching it with us on Sunday should let us know so we can plan food and couch space accordingly. ;)
On the rodent side of things:
There's a lady in SF who wants to adopt a couple of the rescue boys, so that's good. Haven't heard from the two gals in NY who wanted several. :-/ Kamikaze is still loose in the room and evading all attempts to catch him. I may have to go rent a live animal trap from the humane society just to get him back with his cagemates. *sigh* Silly boy.
Raistlin Majere made a great escape yesterday while I was helping a customer. Fortunately it only took me about fifteen minutes to coax him out from under the shelving unit and into my hands. :) He's a lot more cautious than Tasslehoff Burfoot, but still nearly fearless. And he just won't hold still when you take him out! He wants to be EVERYWHERE! Silly Raist. Should've named him Fidget. LOL I think that'll have to be the name of one of his kids if they inherit that trait from him... Tas on the other hand will switch shoulders back and forth, but is mostly content to just sit there hanging out with you. He starts bruxing almost as soon as you take him out of the cage. And he's determined to aquire the necklace snowvim and stoic_rose gave me. As soon as he gets comfortable, he picks it up and starts trying to chew the cord. LOL My little thief. He's just not sneaky enough yet. He'll have to put more points in that next time he levels. ;)
