church, state, and personal views

it hurts my feelings that people would rather hold true to their convictions then realize that they are hurting the people they are trying to help.

I was just watching the evening world news when a story about Gay couples adopting came on. I don't care what you think about it, there are too many children in foster care that won't get adopted and will go on to lead lives of the forsaken. Feeling unwanted and unloved. To adopt a child is a process which is intended to weed out bad people (don't read gay people there because that is not what I mean). A church organization closed its doors because they don't believe in gay people adopting. How hypocritical is that? instead of help everyone, they will help noone if ONE CHILD goes to a gay couple.

Maybe I feel differently because I had a gay uncle who was in a commited relationship until he died. I guarantee you that the experience helped me to be a more open person towards how other people live their lives, rather than a gay person. If my father had been half the man my uncle was.. I would have had a richer life.
