Yesterday was election day. Jan Mills got kicked out of West Lafayette. Tony Roswarski easily kept his seat in East West Lafayette. New Albany and Jeffersonville both voted their former mayors back into office. A year from now, we should know who will be the next president of these United States. Good. This isn't a political post, so I won't get into who I hope does or does not win, but I am looking forward to the day after Election Day '08. I'm tired of the candidates already.
I'm pretty tired, too. Stupid sinus headache. Angie told me that I looked awful this morning. Which works, because I felt awful. By mid-afternoon, I was feeling pretty okay (thank you, Meijer Daytime Sinus gelcaps). But now the medicine has worn off, and I'm already feeling ready for bed. I spent the whole weekend on the couch, mostly watching football (I'm pretty sure I saw Katie on TV in the RCA Dome).
It is already November. That's kinda weird. So I've been in my job for over 13 months now. I've been married for nearly 3 months. Three months. That's one-third of a baby. No, Angie isn't pregnant.
Oh. So speaking of measuring things in unusual units, I fell in love with Google Maps all over again on Monday. When you use the distance measuring tool, did you know you can click on "I'm feeling geeky" (or whatever) and have your distance display in units like Angstroms, furlongs, and light-years? That kept me entertained for far too long, I'll admit.
I'm pretty sure there's other stuff I would have said, had I not forgotten it.
