November 22nd is a date that sticks out for me.
Yep, Kennedy was asassinated on this day 43 years ago. But that's a more a historical footnote.
An old "girlfriend" was born this day 29 years ago. Again, more a footnote. (Though I do wonder what would happen if I managed to somehow contacter her. Nah, not worth that noise. Been a dead-issue for 5 years. Nothing acrimonious. Just went away)
Another friend also celebrates his birthday today. This has been the sticking point he past couple years.
Ya see, I say "Friend" but really haven't talked to him in a couple years. It was made pretty clear I was on the persona non grata list, and part of it was deserved. Other parts I don't feel were my responsibility, but that's two years gone now. Blame-games only go so far, so I'll just say "Yeah... my fault" if that will actually fix things.
Yep, I miss this friend, and will apologize one last time. Maybe this time it will be heard. If not, then oh well.
Happy Birthday, Jason. Hope you and the wife enjoy it and the rest of the holidays.
