ok, so the closer it gets to con season the more obsessed I'm becoming over this new Green Lantern costume I have to make. What a task! I hope I get it done in time.
Tim is good. He works at Red Roof Inn now from 11pm-7am, but he really likes the job. He has about 3 hours of real work, which is just paperwork, then he just sits there the rest of the time reading. And yes, that whole situation was shady as hell. It's amazing to me how dispensable employees are to this company.
And yes, I did quit. My last day is a little less than two weeks from now. Tim and I are both moving home for a couple of months to work and save some money before we (hopefully) go to Taiwan. I'm sure he told you about that. Amy (other ASM at my store) told me that we almost got you to replace me or something. We almost got some other ASM named Kevin, too. I don't know...Doug is REALLY weird about transferring people in. We so far haven't had a transfer manager last more than a couple of weeks. So here's the kicker: he's promoting a CSR to SL to replace me. However, this particular CSR is a pathological liar and claims to have been a manager at some store in Cleveland. Doug told Ron, and Ron said that he doesn't even have to go through SL training! We have no idea if any of this is true, and no one is verifying it, either. He's just shadowing Amy and me this week and then will get his own shifts. Nice! All hell is going to break loose.
Okay, sorry this is so long. Good luck with your Green Lantern costume.
LOL . . well shit. Good luck in Taiwan, though I'm sure I'll behold your words before that.
Yeah, employees are just another resource to be exploited by these Capitalist pigs. That's America for you. The fucking American ni . . er . . dream.
Last week Mike said he could sell as well as me. I get sick of his "perfect" self image, so I decided to make a point. I sold 5 Rewards last week (which means I didn't try) instead of the usual 20-plus. Our store went from 67 to 40. lol
I'm moving to East 14th. The hood. We'll see if I continue to find it worth it to work for this company when I get my bonus check in April. I guess I still hope they see some promise, because it'd be great to have my own store for a couple years while I finish school.
