Janessa about the body glitters, nail polish, and lip gloss Anya pulled out of her stocking: "Now you can really decorate yourself!"
Patrick about the so cute homemade pink and green flowery apron my best friend gave me: "I think I would look stupid wearing that. But it looks ok on you."
Scott, every single time he was handed a present, before and as he unwrapped it: "What is it? What is it? What is it?"
Janessa, about some craft supplies: "Oh wow it's so awesome and it's BREAKABLE!!" ('breakable' obviously being a big part of why it was so awesome.)
Anya: "I'm surprised that this is a really great Christmas." Huh? Why? I'd be hurt, except she says this every holiday and birthday. She is a natural born pessimist, with the advantage of always being pleasantly surprised.
Also by Anya, about the wonderful coconut sticks my sister shipped to us from Greece (old treats from my childhood): "I kinda don't like them, but they are really good. May I have more?"
Patrick: "Did the wisemen wrap their presents? Because I think Jesus was too little to open them." Janessa: "Mary opened them for him, silly."
Not said, but enjoyed: Malachi opening his gifts slowly, with intense concentration, one quarter-sized torn off piece of wrapping at a time.
ETA: Janessa: "I miss my banana curls. Why are they called banana curls? Maybe because you can fit a banana through them."
I tried to add pics but LJ currently isn't allowing me. I will try again later. Sorry.
