Once again I'm forced to think about the notion that I may never be allowed to marry the man of my dreams, even if I'm the man of his dreams. It's a terrible thought and that why I cry during weddings I see on TV or anything... because I may never have that because some suit thinks the love I have is abhorrent and unreal. They would rather see me marry some woman that I could never feel for, that I could only see as a nice friend at best, than a man that I would give anything for, than a man I could truly love. So much for the sanctity of marriage, eh? Spain, a part of Mexico, the Netherlands, even South Africa has the right idea to allow marriage to a loving couple. South Africa, which has about the worst track record for civil rights, has beat us in the civil rights race. Way to go, Dubbya, way to go.
