Well, I can see where he's coming from on that, but it's funny that he's tying the two things together when the mode of violence is far different. My thought is that he's aiming for the wrong enforcement target, as even with a ban, you'd still have a major smuggling problem. I'm one of those Evil People Who Like Guns, so I'll reserve my comments otherwise. *grin*
Also, Inferiority Complex? Stormy, Stormy, Stormy. We are the land of the Licks burger. We are hardly inferior! ;)
Never claimed you were. Other than your taxes and the general wierdness of your health system, I rather like Canada. What I'm referring to, from an American perspective, is that we're a favorite strawman and punching bag by Canadian politicians, who seem to want to Really Not Be The US. But then go implement something that we've got over here, but They Did It The Canadian Way. *shrugs* Hard to explain.
But yes, damn you and your Lick's burger! I keep hoping because Tim's made it here to MI, that we'll get a Lick's invasion one of these days.
I need to get over there sometime and see your new place, and we need to make a Lick's run.

Canadians don't have to have passports to head over here in 2008, do they?
