✜ Everything has to be carefully thought out -- from beginning to the end. Gokudera doesn't like to do anything unless he's got the perfect beginning in mind ( the right mixture of fuse & powder, the best sentence for this answer ), because without it, things won't fall into place like the building blocks they really are.
✜ Sometimes he needs soap to wash that dirty mouth of his, but he can't help it. Growing up on the streets like he did, trying to prove his own worth by making it out alive, kids like him tend to absorb shit they aren't supposed to until they're well off on their own. But there you have it, a vulgar and rude cocktail of words, ready to come out of his lips at any given moment.
✜ Smoking's an oral fixation of his. He needs to have his lady cigarettes everyday, every hour, every time his head's about to explode or else he really will lose it. & Gokudera losing it ain't exactly a pretty sight. He'll twitch, and get even snappier, and maybe start yelling at the Tenth too ( oshi-- ).
✜ He likes to give people nicknames, even though most of the time, they end up being quite crappy/rude/insulting. It's rare for him to call people by their names, but when he does, it's either laced with anger & rage or just a tad bit of concern. It feels weird to him though, so he tends to avoid it.
✜ Beneath all the grump, he does have a soft side! But only the Tenth gets to see it face-to-face. It does exist though, when you aren't looking & when you deserve it the most.
✜ Science, Mathematics, Philosophy -- anything that involves thinking & theory, you bet Gokudera's in love with it. He's a thinker, so strategies & coming up with new techniques/ways to get out of sticky situations aren't beyond him. But when he's locked on anger mode, he loses the capability to think straight and just acts on whatever his whim wants him to do.
✜ The Tenth is a man that can do nothing wrong in his eyes. He's willing to do anything for the Tenth, he's willing to die for him, & he's willing to follow him until the very end. Everything he does/will do is all geared into making the Tenth proud. Disappointment ain't an option.
✜ It's kinda weird, but having that baseball freak around calms him down. Like, if he's there, Gokudera isn't at point blank ready to bite people's heads off.
✜ Sometimes, when no one's looking ( or so he thinks ), he likes to hum or whistle a tune depending on his mood. It can be happy, wistful, whimsical, or just there.
✜ He still remembers how to play the piano, but that's more of a distant memory now. He can still do it, but he'd rather not, because every time his fingers touch the cold white keys, he's reminded of his mother, and that makes him lose focus. Daze back off into the days where she used to be there, praising him whenever he gets it right, & cuddling him whenever he gets it wrong. He doesn't remember what she sounds like anymore.
✜ People not to insult in front of him: the Tenth ( that's like a huge death wish right there ) & his mother ( do this, & you're guaranteed to die, no matter what ).
✜ Contrary to popular belief, he won't like everything the Tenth does. But he's willing to suck it up if he has to, & he'll back it up with that puppy grin of his.
✜ Watermelons just might be his favorite fruit.
✜ Watching the fireworks with the Tenth and everyone else is a memory he'd never forget. It felt weird at the time, but now that he's able to look back at it, there's a tiny voice at the back of his mind going, "I'm kinda lucky."
✜ Don't tell anyone, but a lot of the rings & jewelry he has aren't always bought with his own money.
✜ Liking visual kei is a guilty pleasure of his. But hey! The guys/girls look awesome, & the music ain't that bad either.
✜ Whenever he's distressed & needs to sort his thoughts out, he'd always run to the same playground, the same swing, & he'd sit down there & just think. A cigarette on his lips & a solemn look in his eyes; it calms him down a little & straightens out whatever's on his mind.
