About: this is a Dr Spencer Reid and Tobias Hankel centric fanmix for the episode 2x15 Revelations where Reid was kidnapped, tortured and forced on drugs by Hankel and his split personalities. There's some Hotch/Reid thrown in for good measure because it's the "I knew you'd understand" episode with that hug.
Notes: I kinda threw this together because I thought I only had one day left and then the round @ waywardmixes was extended. I'm not as happy as I could be with it, it was harder for me to find songs than I thought. References to drugs, torture and death.

( ABOUT ) REVELATIONS is the conclusion of a two-parter aired in season two of Criminal Minds. At the end of the previous episode Reid is taken hostage by Tobias Hankel (amazingly played by James van der Beek), and the BAU's only things to profile are a house, a computer, and the live feed the kidnapper is sending to them. Meanwhile, Reid begins flashing back to his own troubled childhood while drifting in and out of consciousness while being under drugs Tobias gave him. He's holding on to his last shred of sanity, trying to send his teammates a coded message where to find him. Eventually Tobias is shot by Reid after he had to dig his own grave.
( cont'd. ) Tobias Hankel is a complex character. Abused and tortured by his own father, his personality breaks when his father forces him to kill him and he develops two personalities, his father and arch angel Raphael who "forces" Tobias to commit murders of people committing sins in his eyes. The result of this episode was that Reid became addicted to didaulid (Tobias's drug of choice) and was left alone to struggle with by the team for almost two years.
