Gave up ASGRA in DC this year. It seems we've been running around too much. I wanted something more relaxing. Gil has given us an open invite, and it worked out that we could use this past weekend. Plus, my leg is still sore, so I'm not sure how much the dancing would affect it. We also found out that the storm forced a cancellation one afternoon. I don't know what people thought of the change in venue to Virginia.
We drove up Thursday night stopping for some good Chinese food at Wok & Sushi (chance dining). We ended up watching some tennis between Andy Roddick and Djokovic, both cute players. Andy reminds me of Shawn William Scott who I like.
Friday after breakfast we went to Price Chopper and gathered food for our meals. I prepared hot roast beef and mozz on garlic bread for lunch. I read psychology and chemistry outside naked in the yard. Augie grilled pork chops and Patrick made mashed potatoes and garlic green beans for dinner. We then watched the DVD of Night at the Museum and some antique show on TV.
Saturday was rainy. I read more chemistry. We had burgers and dogs for lunch, then headed to the Galleria mall in Middletown to see Mamma Mia. While the soundtrack isn't of great vocal quality, and the movie wasn't as special as the Broadway show, I still enjoyed it. We had kielbasa and pierogies for dinner with a cucumber salad. That evening I worked on some choreo for my upcoming PACE weekend.
Sunday morning was more choreo and more chemistry, and we had lunch in town at Arlene and Toms, the home of the Meanyburger. The weekend was very low key. Patrick, Gil and Augie read novels. Gil did puzzles. Augie did some landscaping. All very relaxing which is just what I was looking for.
