Ann's Week
ann0625 did an excellent job (and was more punctual in posting) in summarizing her time with us. See her post for more details.
My recap:
Sunday - Mom and Gene met us at the hospital, and transferred Kim and Ciara over to us. We ate Big Chef out on the deck and watched National Treasure: Book of Secrets, dealing with Lincoln’s assassination and a lost city of gold. They elected to spend the night as well.
Monday - we had to drive them to Queens, so we made a pitstop at Flushing Meadow Park and the Queens Zoo. I brought Ann to Dani’s House of Pizza and made macaroni and cheese that night. We watched A Chorus Line, the movie, so I could re-contrast it with the show that I had recently seen.
Tuesday - Ann treated me to the Circle Line. We did the 3 hour tour around Manhattan. As we walked to the Path, we passed by the wax museum and Ripley’s Believe it or not display museum on 42nd Street. Lunched at Great Kahn’s.
Wednesday - She got to experience Sandy Hook, and met my nursing friend David.
Thursday - Took her to the airport for her departure.
There were square dance workshops each evening as well.
