Monday after MAL, we packed up from Ted's and went to find
noodle420 and
big_red_truk. They took us out for brunch at a fabulous restaurant called Clyde's. Hidden amidst China Town, this beautiful place was a bit overwhelming. High ceilings with huge tiffany-like chandeliers, grand paintings on the walls, and a very friendly wait staff made me think I should be having a special occasion dinner rather than the first meal of the day.
The food was exceptional. Patrick and I split our meals. Buffalo chicken sandwich with potato salad, and grilled white cheddar cheese with tomato soup. It certainly sounds plain, but it was definitely a step up.
We walked over to the museum mentioned above, and proceeded to annoy the security people. I set off an alarm leaning in toward a wire sculpture, and later when my cell phone rang, I answered it and didn't properly follow the instructions of where I should go with it.
We watched a short documentary on the Hopper Exhibit which was being displayed on its final day. I got distracted by a mohawked boy.
Before long it was time to get on the road, so we bid so long to Duncan & Steve and headed back home, stopping at Applebee's for dinner. My favorite dessert is no longer served on a hot skillet, and didn't have the same draw that it used to.
Thanks to the boys for providing a great ending to a fabulous weekend!
