Candidacy's End for Hillary Clinton

A friend of mine on a forum I frequent posted this article, and his commentary afterward. The article is good - the commentary is better. First, the article.

The original article, entitled Clinton's Spin Machine: Spun Dry )

nice!

=)

yeah, i like both articles.

my only quibble with GenHav is his prediction that hillary will lose if she's the nominee. she won't lose. it'll be an impotent presidency won on a 52/48 split (and i'm being generous), but she won't lose. mccain is running as fodder, as the republican elites have more or less conceded their loss of the white house. mccain is their straw man. there are MANY better candidates waiting until 2012 before stepping up to reclaim the presidency.

hillary would be the death of the mainstream progressive movement born out of obama's campaign. most clinton supported would be happy with either candidate; most obama supporter, however, won't just happily jump over to hillary's side.

her consitent voter base has widdled down to olderly white women and single white women- one group that tends to fear too much change, and the other group who arguably gives blind allegiance to their sex. everyone else, EVERYONE else, is moving over to the last remaining TRUE candidate of the democratic party.

i am DRUNKEN WANDERER, and i approved this message.

That many better candidates on the Republican side are waiting until 2012 doesn't surprise me - in fact, it would be interesting to see if the next couple years signifies a paradigm shift, no matter how subtle at first, within American politics as a whole, and with the Democrats and Republicans specifically.

As for Hildebeast, I think GenHav will disagree with your points, and personally, I'd love to watch a debate between you two, as both of you love the art of debate. ;)
