my flist is eerily quiet. where is everyone?
the memorial service went well, aside from our impromptu sound guy not realizing that the main speakers were muted and everything was being pumped through the stage monitors. when i eventually realized that he was floundering and this wasn't a conscious decision on his part, we managed to fix the problem. i saw a lot of people i have vague memories of from probably 20 years ago. i got a lot of "you look really familiar...what's your name?" of course no one who knew me when i was 6 would know my married name, so i probably confused a lot of people. oh well. my fruit salad went over well. i didn't even get to taste it because it was gone by the time i got through the potluck line. lots of jello with carrots left though...
yesterday my own mother told both me and aaron that we need a day off. and then she told us about a friend of hers who's selling a house in minneapolis that started at $219k and is down to $164k. sweet deal! time to buy a house!
