Here's a New York Times headline:

Haitians in U.S. Illegally Given Protected Status

I find it interesting because your opinion of what it says will likely depend on what you think of the government.

One group of people will read it like this:

Haitians in U.S. Illegally [Were] Given Protected Status
Another group of people will read it like this:

Haitians in U.S. [Were] Illegally Given Protected Status
Now, if you go to the NYT site, it's been changed- 'Hatians Illegally in US Given Protected Status." But if you go to Google's news summary, it still has the above headline.

I wonder which one is in print?
