I was very lucky to have the lovely nerdypastrychef choose one of my pieces of art for this bang and make a very cool story to go with it .It is called The Bloop
The cover art was my entry and I wanted something along the lines of my old fave aquatic horror/suspense films like The Deep Blue Sea,The Abyss ,Sphere ,Leviathon and DeepStar.Creepy and claustrophobic. I think she did a very good job .
Of course I had to make something else to go with the story .
Her story is based on the following:
Bloop was an ultra-low-frequency and extremely powerful underwater sound detected by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in 1997.
Below is an edit of a representation of what the creature might look like .I could not find who made the original picture which is on a lot of websites about the possible creature .I added the tentacles to go with the story version . I then decided just to use it in the background of the picspam but thought someone might like to see it .
