First show.

Well thanks for the support re: devil spawns. I did talk to the parents, and let's just say that I understand where the kids were spawned from ;) It seems that my neighbors are a bit socialist...they weren't quite too understanding when I told them I don't share my horses well;) None the less, I stressed the fact that the kids were a liability, and horses can be dangerous animals and I think they got the point. I'm sure you'll hear mention of the devil's spawns at some point or another ;)

So I'm taking Limerick to his first show May 6th. It's a schooling show, and we are doing Training Level 1/2/3/4. I'm nervous. How pathetic is that? But it never fails me. I never, ever feel like I'm ready to show and I feel like I drag myself in kicking and screaming. Probably because the first, oh, 3-4 shows I did were HORRIBLE. I remember getting bucked off, one horse refused every fence, or the horse was so neurotic that I feared for my life :) Limerick, actually, I know will have no problem with it. He's pretty placid and well, you'd have to light a firecracker under his ass to get some real action. And I mean, it's only a schooling show, right? *sigh* The judge will either love him or hate him. She's either going to go "Wow! He looks so powerful and look at that movement!" or "Ewww! He's like a freaking tank. no grace at all." So we'll see ;)

Other then that, went to see Costa and Arion today. Costa is doing rather well...still not that fond of me, but at least he let's me catch him. In his 11 month old brain, I'm the evil soul who took him away from everything. But wow, is he pretty! Even in his awkward stage. I'll have to grab some pictures of him at some point. As for Arion, he's my baby. I get such joy seeing him. Everytime I go out too see him, he sees my red CRV, starts walking towards in, and then starts trotting as soon as he sees me. Always brings a smile to my heart ;) I did manage to grab a picture of him coming towards me...looking a triful windswept, wouldn't you say?

Anyways, that's it for now!
