Mission Report
Passed through the Senkaimon at 08:30 AM on Friday, February 19th, and found no sign of Hollow activity in the exit point's immediate vicinity. Following the patrol path, we came upon a cluster of four low-level Hollows. Though in a cluster, they fought as individuals and did not co-ordinate attacks. The squad defeated them with little trouble and no major injuries. Those that suffered minor wounds were instructed to report to the Fourth upon return to Seireitei.
At 10:42 AM, a strange reiatsu off the patrol path caught my attention. After sending them to continue on assignment, I took it upon myself to investigate its source. This investigation lead to contact with a fraccion of the Segunda Espada. Subsequently, I unintentionally provoked the fraccion to combat.
Due to the obvious speed and power differential, I fought mostly on a defensive basis. After several passes, I managed to use my released zanpakutou to cause temporary paralysis in the fraccion's leg. With the enemy slowed, I elected to retreat due to both the fact I knew I was outmached, and injury.
I reached the squad's location at 11:56 AM and ordered a return to Seireitei on the grounds that the fraccion may attempt pursuit and endanger the ranks. None of the injuries I received were dire, but did require prompt medical attention. After spending three hours in the care of the Fourth, I was discharged and am still clear for active duty.
