Hello.

1)
The food is really good, the scenery is lovely and the artwork is breathtaking. The whole experence was something completly different. (Orvieto) The first day we got their was surrounded by a surreal fuzz (probubly the severe jet lag) and I was first intro duced to their version of seafood salid wich is actually just cooked octopus tenticals, white ancovies, these little meat buns and not so apitizing lazonia. I saw the mideval city of orvieto and and its anchent etruscan tombs and caverns, and walked into the duomo to gaze at the apocolyptic frescos on the wall.I expereneiced a variety of strange and wonderfull food, and throughly had my fill of pasta.
(Sorento/Naples) The almaphy(spelling) coast is perhaps one of the most beautful placed you could ever see. Aproching the haunting black cliffs of Sorento and veiwing the vibrent blue of the meditarianian is simply an etherial experence. The blue grato hidden benith the ile of Capri was amazing, as well as swimming off the beach where the fabled sirens were supposed to have sung. Of course one can never ignore the fasination and hauntingly distant experence of ruins. Pompei was not as impressive as it could have been, but it was still wonderfull experence. Huculanum(sp) was much better filled with the best of pompei and more. While naples was discusting and scary, the national archological museun was tragic beauty. Unbelevable frecos an mosaacks just left on the wall with no security and no glass. But they were beutiful. Naples was revolting. te food was gross, the glasses were dirty and the empovershed slums wer terrifying. Glad I was only there for a few hours.
(Tuscany/Rome) The last week was full of shell shock. Tuscany had fabulous food, but vinci was disapointing. Then it was on o rome. Burgasy was so beautiful, so ric in gold and jewls and unbelevable works of art that it began to aproch vulgarity. I was so overwhelmed at some peaces I was brought to tears, ad yet the sheere amount exhusted the sences and harmed the experence on the whole. The vaticant was similar. Saint Peters was enourmus. It was beautiful, and so sacreligious it added to its beauty. Some of the frescos were looked over so casually it was tragic, while the shere titanism of it was overwhelming. The incredibly gay japanese man was an interesting experence as well.

It feels good to be home, even though my life is spinning away from childhood and rushing ito the future. I love him so deeply I cannot see so far into the depths of my soul, I feel his presence, his pulse of life, and his warmth as if it is a part of myself that is so pure and so precious that I can never let it go. I also am very confident that I know what direction I'm going and that it is the one that will make me the most happy, and I'm excited and ready to leap into the future even though it is a little sad to say goodbye to what I'm leaving behind.

But those are thoughts of the future, for now, its just good to be home.

It is only within our own minds that we can ever truly find peace.
