So how are those sprouts coming along? Any full plants yet? I'm getting cravings for beds and showers and proper tea and, for some reason, bunnies. I don't know why bunnies, but bunnies. And ducklings. Maybe a kitten or two. They're so soft and cuddly!

I DON'T THINK YOU CAN MAKE MAGICAL PLANTS GROW USING MAGIC, THOUGH. I MEAN, IF YOU COULD, THEN...HERBOLOGY WOULD HARDLY BE A SUBJECT. AND ALSO, I'M NOT SURE WHY WE WOULD'VE WAITED MOST OF THE YEAR FOR THOSE MANDRAKES BACK WHEN THE CHAMBER WAS OPEN, ALTHOUGH NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT, I DIDN'T QUITE APPRECIATE HOW NICE IT WAS TO HAVE A COLIN-FREE DAY.

My point was that Neville noted the sprouts were growing very fast so I wondered if they'd reached matured at an accelerated rate. You can make them grow faster using magic, but you risk some pretty serious mutations, killing off the plants, and such. They tend to be too delicate for it so it's too risky. Senile mandrakes? Not terribly useful in healing. You ever heard of the Triwizard Triple-Handed Devil's Snare Incident? That ended the micro-mini robes trend pretty quickly.

WELL IF YOU WANT TO COME MAGICALLY SPEED UP THE GROWTH OF A RARE PLANT, CAPTAIN HERBOLOGY, THEN FINE. COME AND DO IT! OH WAIT, YOU CAN'T!

I'm not that good at herbology even if I was alive to do it. Nice of you to rub it in, what with causing this state.

NO! YOU HAVE TO HELP ME WITH THIS! THE PLANTS ARE READY, WE NEED TO GO! WE CANNOT LEAVE THEM ALL THERE TO DIE! er, stay dead, rather.

WE COULD LEAVE TOM RIDDLE. HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THAT OPTION? I MEAN, HE'S TURNED GINNY INTO A HEINOUS BITCH. IT'S FOR THE GREATER GOOD.
