i am now a checkerboard chick!
i went to nyc this weekend. i went to the whitney and saw the summer of love exhibition which was tres cool. i listened to the stones, jefferson airplane, santana, etc as i went from poster to poster to art to seizure inducing room. AND i got tickets to hairspray which i am so obsessed with. how can you listen to "you can't stop the beat" and not be happy? i was smiling the whole time and didn't want it to end. who knew ashley parker angel actually could sing? why doesn't he sing like that for all his songs and maybe people would listen to him? and that spy kids girl, she has a hell of a voice (and played my favorite character). everyone was amazing, actually. i especially liked the understudy for motormouth.. she got a standing o everytime she was on stage. that's how good she was. i think her range was the whole piano. or at least 70 of the 88 keys. i was in awe.
i also went to cafeteria which is where the sex and the city girls eat all the time. and i went to some cool vegetarian hotspots. i've been on a vegetable binge lately and my boss says not only do i look skinnier, but my skin is actually glowing. oh and i saw drew barrymore. i have this whole week off and i can't stop the beat!
