[166] Rex fails at the BOY HERO thing. // VIDEO

Sep 18, 2011 16:36

[Hey, it's Rex... looking younger and more wholesome and, uh, heroic, instead of like a vaguely creepy loser nerd. Anyone who remembers Jim Hawkins may pick up on the resemblance, because lol animated JGL. Anyway, Rex has got a tiny mechanical dragon companion and is holding a big shiny medallion that's glowing with POWAHHH. Also, he looks cranky.]

Is there a reason I have to go through puberty again? [GRUMBLE.] Still, the rules of improbability that govern this world are useful in some respects. I wouldn't have been able to engineer this thing [Motioning to his dragon, which chirps happily.] out of clock pieces in the real world.

[The dragon puffs out a little jet of fire.]

Apparently, that means it's twelve o'clock. [Rex holds up his magic bling.] Can somebody more accustomed to this ridiculousness tell me what this is, or will I have to seek out a magic elf or talking rabbit to get to the bottom of this? [He eyes it warily as it starts to glow green.] This had better not be radioactive.

Oh, and why is my warden a woman now? Honestly, it's disconcerting. [Because Capa barely looked different in that video of Crane's.]

[OOC: Wedding's over, so I'm just... BORED AND LOUNGING UNTIL MORE STUFF HAPPENS. Tags will still be slow. Feel free to make up whatever about Rex's magic bling. Also, he's trapped in the body of your standard adventuring hero from humble beginnings (orphan thief, AS IS CUSTOMARY.). Locals are free to recognize him as having stolen things from them before.

Also, open spam for wherever, I have no preferences. I just want some adventuring and comedy.

Edit: disregard the other hiatus. This piece of crap phone's started working again like four hours later. Also, seriously, I like spontaneous plotting, so don't be afraid to just jump in with whatever, since I tried to set up some plot triggers in this post. I didn't pre-plot for most of this port, so... don't be afraid of stepping on toes or whatever.]

port: disney, totally innocent, pop culture offends cobra commander
