At what point can you turn your back on your crimes?  When they become absorbed into "the past" and aren't a matter for public circulation anymore?  I don't mean "how long does it take for the entire Barge to forget a crime so I don't have to actually seek forgiveness."  What I mean is. Do you want to abandon the person you were?

It's unavoidable at this point. He's as dead as the man I was before him.

Are you in the habit of dying so often?

Not by choice.

What does it, then? Just being here?

No. Dying in a way that you can't fully... recover from.

What do you mean?

What I mean is: Life may be cheap here-- your body may recover easily, but you aren't always the same once you've revived.

It's not exactly a feature of the Barge. It's all about how you die and how you react to it in the aftermath. Death isn't as easy here as people think.

Then perhaps you'll be fine. Death isn't so easy to recover from at my home.

I didn't expect to recover, but it's not unheard of to come back one way or another. Here, at least, the effects of that are less... obvious.

Private; whoops, can't remember if her being from Azeroth is public knowledge! stopthat_destro August 8 2011, 22:55:38 UTC
It's treated as practically mundane here.

How does it happen where you're from?

Private; it is! lifeafterhope August 8 2011, 23:03:33 UTC
Magic.

Necromancy, usually, but that's the kind of second chance no one wants. There are sometimes other ways, but I don't know much about them.

I don't know what brings some ghosts back without help, either, but that happens more rarely.

Necromancy? That would make a person into a thing like Arthas, wouldn't it?
