[Rex sounds like he's going for neutral, but is coming across somewhat ambivalently.]
If any of her friends are wondering, Wichita's gone. Again. Door back to normal and everything.
Just thought you should know.

[And now he sounds bitter!]
I suppose it's for the best. That entire fiasco put to bed the naïve plan I had to find her when I graduated. Talk about short-sighted.
Why do people bother getting so wrapped up in others? The first time I ever rejected somebody, they made it their mission to coerce and destroy me. The second time ended in my scorned admirer's suicide. The third, departure from the Barge. [Yeah, he's just glossing over Iago's tantrum there.]
And then. [He scoffs.] There's me. Not exactly the poster child for taking abandonment gracefully, I'll admit. Screaming fits and hostile takeovers. [Grumbly sigh.]
It's all so... stupid.
[Pause.]
But what's even worse was that I was planning on getting back to the lab so that I could start a project looking into a vaccine for the disease that destroyed her world. Not a cure, but a preventative, an inoculation for her, her sister, Tallahassee... [Lol doesn't care about Columbus.]
Now that was a stupid idea.
[Private to Iago]
I'm over it now. So... You don't have to worry about any further emotional infidelity from me.
[Pause.] I'm sorry. For everything I put you through when she returned.
[OOC: Keeping vague on any details, as idk if Rex saw Wichita or not, but I wanted to hurry and get this up before my hiatus, since it would be OOC of him to not react. I assume if there wasn't any interaction, he noticed the door, since she's his neighbor. The filter is pretty loose: on friendly terms with Rex outside of strictly business stuff? Then you're on it!]
