[The feed clicks on and there is Canada... with what appears to be flour streaked in his hair and on his face. The way he fumbles with the device a moment makes it seem like he's not aware that it's recording, although after he smooths out his apron he pauses and blinks, before grinning sheepishly ( Read more... )

[Okay, that.. catches him by surprise a bit. Kumajirou just kind of looks over from his spot on the floor because he's a lazy polar bear but anyway. Canada's at the stove, trying to get the pancakes to cooperate, when he notices the door open. He smiles and waves a bit.]

Ahh, hello there! Wanna take a seat? They're almost done!

[Chopper makes his way toward the seat before stopping abruptly, staring at Kumajirou in confusion.

Suddenly, there's an air of seriousness around him as he bows in greeting. The bear looks like the old hiking bears back on his winter island and bowing was always a rule to do in front of them. In other words, old habits are hard to get over.]

Hello.

[But soon enough he's back to his excited self and scuttling over to the seat, climbing onto it and smiling while he waits for his free food.]

Oh, my name is Chopper! Nice to meet you!

[Kumajirou blinks, and cocks his head to the side, nose twitching faintly as he watches Chopper's reaction. It was... interesting, but he notices the seriousness, and.. kind of nods his head back, because he's never bowed before and he kind of feels implied to. He doesn't understand but yeah.]

Hello.

[Canada just watches curiously as well, even more fascinated by the talking creatures. Okay, so his house is... mostly animals. So yay wildlife.]

Nice to meet you too! My name is Canada. Please take a seat, eh? This test batch is almost ready.

[Indeed it is. Mm, the smell of pancakes as he flips them over. They're tiny, but not perfect sized or anything.. They just smell delicious.]

I don't think I have much to offer you to drink, though, so I apologize for that..

[It's hard to make himself comfortable and focus on talking when the delicious scent is picked up by his nose, and he starts squirming around in his seat impatiently.

But, the name catches his ear and he manages to snap out of all of his excitement.]

Canada? ...are you America's brother?

Oh, and I don't mind not having a drink. It's enough that you're giving me pancakes for free. Thank you!

[Well, at least America being around saves him on the whole 'I am a nation and here's why' speech. He flips the pancakes again, and presses them onto the griddle a bit.]

Yes, I am. He's my older brother, but not by very much. You've known him for a while here, eh?

[Canada's smile brightens a bit.] Ahh, no need to thank me. I appreciate you offering to help!

[Chopper knows so many of the countries by now that the speech should be the last thing on anyone's mind. Plus, he's a talking reindeer. He can let this kind of stuff slip easily. He watches attentively as you continue with your pancake flipping.]

Not as long as most people here, but kind of long. He's kind of cool... even if he's also a little stupid. He's kind of like Denmark. But he said he'd be able to get rid of Russia, so I can forgive him for being so dumb.

[In case you're wondering, Chopper said all of that in a very 'matter-of-fact' voice.]

[One more flip, and he begins plating, sliding them gently from pan to spatula to plate. He sighs a bit.]

Yes, he's told me he's been here a long time. And... though I'd agree he's a bit daft, his heart... is close to being in the right place. [...Yeah, Canada has some faith in his brother, at least.] They are alike, eh? That would explain why they get along so well ( ... )

They're really alike. I don't really mind how they are, even if it's kind of frustrating sometimes. But they remind me of someone I know. He's also not really smart and he gets into a lot of trouble, but no matter what, he's a good person inside and I'm glad I know him.

America should definitely have more luck here! At least once all those weird things stop happening because of his chip being gone.

[Just as soon as all the serious talk started, it ended as soon as the plate was set in front of Chopper and he just gazed at it longingly, barely hearing a word that Canada was saying because even though these pancakes were small, they looked really good and they smelled good too so they must be amazing pancakes.

So he just gave a quick nod and reached a hoof forward, picking up the dry one first... and into his mouth it went, followed by the darker one, and then the maple-syrup center one.]

Hmmm, hirf if urry g'd!
