Case involving Peclicken
In this post ladyoneill submitted a case about the word-for-word similarities between her story and one by an author named Peclicken.
Over on fireflyfans.net, Peclicken does not have any direct contact information. I have left comments to which he has not replied, so I am moving ahead with a decision. Given the posting dates that ladyoneill provided in conjunction with the fact that the language used sounds in character for Spike and Buffy, but completely out of place in the Fireflyverse, I am concluding that Peclicken has plagiarized ladyoneill's work and will be adding his name to our list of plagiarists.
I have also requested assistance from the designer/programmer, Haken, who runs the site, however I have not heard back from Haken. But given the hugeness of the site and the fact that Haken is one person, it may be just a matter of too much for one person. I will follow up with Haken to request his/her assistance about having the fic, Dark and Dirty pulled.
