No problem, I was pretty much in shock when I saw this.

Same here. She actually contacted me and denied any wrongdoing (she said she's never read my story).

Of course she hasn't. The plot and words and scenes just popped into her brain, it's magical how that happens. (It looks like she also Finchel-fied a movie without crediting it.) I said this on ffrants, but her title didn't even make sense.

At any rate, someone pointed me to her Tumblr and her ScarvesandCoffee account, where she has me listed as one of her favorite authors. What's ffrants? (is clueless... and no, it didn't, lol)

I just can't even right now, lol. I had considered not writing her back and just letting it go (and letting the people here take care of it), but now I feel like I have to say something to her.

If it's just to point out her own stupidity to embarress her, then that should be pretty satisfying.

That said, it takes a hell of a lot of balls for a plaigeriser to contact an author directly O.o. I've rarely seen that before.

I've heard of cases where it's happened before - I was surprised that she did though.

It's a pretty stupid thing to do to tell an author that you plaigerised that you've never even read their work when they are on your favourite authors list. This person obviously didn't think through their 'innocence-proving' plan too well.
