Decision in the case against KiraIzuruLuv
On 3rd September, ansela_jonla reported that KiraIzuruLuv had plagiarised a story by Katami-San at AdultFanfiction.Net. The original report is here.
I haven't linked to Katami-San's story as AFF requires a login and/or age verification. However, I have entered the site and sighted Katami-San's story and taken caps. At the time of the original report, some seventy chapters of A Shadow of What Was were posted at Fanfiction.net. The remainder of the chapters were posted after enquiries began and the story on Fanfic.net is a word for word copy and paste. Katami-San and I have both contacted KiraIzuruLuv via private message and received no reply. I assume that the PMs have been received as KiraIzuruLuv has certainly been logged in often enough to update the story and to change her profile to state "Stories should be available for everyone. If you are so selfish as to not post to the biggest fanfiction archive on the internet, I will post for you."
While I haven't read the entirety of the chapters on Fanfic.net, investigation of a random sample of chapters shows no evidence that KiraIzuruLuv has acknowledged Katami-San's authorship of A Shadow of What Was. This shifts this case from the region of unauthorized archiving (irritating and impolite but not actually plagiarism) to straight out plagiarism. KiraIzuruLuv will be added to the list of known plagiarists.
