The case against Evildictatorof taste/Fiore12/KaterinaPetrova12
On the 2nd March 2011 drkprncss17 reported a possible case of plagiarism in the 'Glee' fandom on fanfiction.net. The report can be read here: original report as presented by drkprncss17
The stories involved are: evildictatoroftaste 'When I look at you' and Buffyanne's 'barely legal'
I've screen capped both stories and my impressions are; the original story is by BuffyAnne and is called 'barely legal' the story is very short, 1500 words plus.
evildictatoroftaste: The story is 4,500 words and reads like an expansion of the original story. The writer states in her Authors Notes (screen capped) that she 'has' lifted certain sentences from the BuffyAnnes story. (namely the sex scene)
Note1: evildictatoroftaste account is unbadged. I did a search for vampslover (another possible alias) on fanfiction.net. There is an account under that name which has a UK badge and has no stories attached to the profile apart from one, there isn't anyway of saying if they are the same person or not.
Note2: evildictatoroftaste AKA Fiore12/KaterinaPetrova12 (both names don't exist on ff anymore) has been accused under the name fiore12/Katerinapetrova12 of using the sex scenes from drkprncss17 AKA Temptress_Kitten17 on ff.net story '17 forever. That story has since been removed from both profiles.
Note3: I googled the sex scene and it came right back to 'when I look at you' on evildictatoroftaste profile.
Note4: I have contacted evildictatoroftaste about the report and she responded by saying that she had apologised to BuffyAnn and had credited her in the authors notes for the lines she had used from BuffyAnns story 'Barely Legal.'
Note5: Screencaps available of the authors notes and both stories.
Note6: Screencaps of the stories reviews show that BuffyAnne had left a review comparing her lines with the accused. BufyAnne also left a review on the 2nd March saying that the matter had been resolved.
Note7: All the parties involved have been very helpfull and provided info and the accused has responded to my pm's through fanfic.
Conclusion
The accused evildictatorof taste be placed on the watch list for future reference. I have contacted her and asked her to take the story off her profile. I also have concerns that it contains commercial song lyrics, which are against fanfiction.net ToS.
