He can't help smiling back a bit at that, and he nods firmly. Alright, sure, yes. He's ready.

The takeoff is the hardest part. Even when it's only his own weight, he always has to work the hardest to catch the wind under his wings...because it's an artificial environment there aren't usually updrafts to ride, so it's usually willpower that gets you into the air. Double the weight (nearly double, he should say if he ever explains it out loud...wouldn't want to offend Polly-san like that,) and it's a lot more work.

So he beats his wings fast and hard, keeping them at a low angle to his body at first for better lift-but it's a pleasant surprise to realize that heat is rising from the lava. Oh, yeah. Duh. The air is soft and energetic beneath them, and it's no trouble at all to ride right up to the ceiling. Yosuke laughs in spite of himself, and twists into a dive right away. Down, down, down...okay! He barely flares his wings and rolls them over a bit before pulling up, grinning stupidly.

It's only then that he remembers Polly might not want to do any flips or dives or spins, and he straightens out into a nice, even glide. "Uh. Sorry. The air is...uh. It's nice today, and I guess I got carried away."

It takes Polly a long moment answer, simply because she's too busy laughing. It's like a roller coaster! And she would be wiggling and flailing delightedly, if she wasn't sure it would throw off his glide.

"Do it again!" she cries between giggles. "Again!"

He grins in spite of himself and pulls up suddenly. With barely any effort they've climbed to the top again.

"Hold on, then."

This time he's just showing off. He drifts in a few tight circles up near the ceiling, the rolls to one side and bends into another graceful, manic dive with an enthusiastic whoop that he doesn't quite care enough to bite back at the moment. It doesn't matter anyway, right? She can probably hear him laughing in his head.

When he broadens the spiral and evens out into a mad circling, he can finally breathe easily again and the laughing is out loud. He glides up and down and through the spaces in between, rolling and somersaulting and flaring his wings to one side or the other to jerk them around with the currents.

When he finally lands them on the other side and lets go of Polly he dry heaves again, but it's in between fits of spastic laughter. Directly after he falls dizzily over onto his side and starts right back up with the laughing. It takes him a few minutes to catch his breath.

"Sorry, I should have warned you it gets kind of rough. But it's pretty cool, huh?"

The moment he lets her go, the girl staggers a bit, and then plunks herself right down on the ground, laughing deliriously.

"That was great!"

Flopping onto her back, she stared at the ceiling until it stopped spinning and her laughter had slowly diminished into giggles.

"Did someone have to teach you to fly like that, or do you just know?"

"It's not too hard to figure it out once you get started."

He grins at nothing, stretching his wings a little.
