It's a... trap! [CLOSED to Normandy crew]

Dec 29, 2011 17:54

Who: Commander Shepard and her crew[plus Nihlus] and also some NPC's.
What: Shepard gets lured away from the S.S. Thor as a trap set by the Purist's.
When: Not too long before the ship is beginning to take their leave to the next planet.
Where: Beginning on Eructo, followed by Shepard's adventure back to the ship through the galaxy.
Warnings: Probably language and maybe a little bit of violence, too.

It was a normal day for the most part. Well, until she got a personal message stating that there was a distress call down on the planet Eructo and they needed help. That was her normality back home, going to planets and uncovering anomalies and helping people of all kinds. It was what Jane Shepard did day by day. Since living on the ship, though, Shepard didn't expect to recieve such messages, let alone asking for her help personally.

The mistake she made was probably going out to scout by herself without bringing backup to watch her six.

She didn't think it was necisary, she went out on missions by herself all the time, she was a grown woman that could take nearly any enemy thrown at her. She didn't think much of the distress call at first. Actually, Shepard thought it could have been something to do with her job down on the planet- maybe they were having trouble and needed her help.

Upon arriving at the location the distress call was coming from, Shepard was on high alert- something didn't seem right. It was in a location that she wasn't familiar with on the planet. Blue eyes shifted around the area before she zoomed in on the beacon with her kuwashii visor. Approaching it slowly, Shepard took a glance around her surroundings before checking over the beacon, to only find out it was false.

Eyes narrowed suspiciously as Shepard stood back up and clenched her jaw. Yeah, definitely not a good sign. A moment later, she took out her Guide to contact her crew that was back aboard the Thor. Opening the book, everything was static and there was no possible way she could get ahold of anyone. "Shit." She cursed under her breath before taking another glance around.

Someone lured her out here on purpose- why didn't she figure this out sooner?! She should have been on alert from the start! No use worrying and thinking about that now, it was far too late.

Shepard still had one last means of communication. Summoning her omni-tool, Shepard glanced down to the glowing orange that enveloped her arm and spoke into it, hoping her crew got her message.

"Commander Shepard here- there seems to be a bit of a problem. *hiss of static* Normandy crew, if you can hear this, respond ASAP. I thin--" Shepard was cut off with another hiss of static.
