[Brittany was only slightly more wide-eyed than usual that morning; a result of having substituted a night's worth of Energy Drinks for actual sleep. Too worried about not being awake in time for this elusive seven in the morning she's heard so much about it.]

[But not only had she been on time, she'd been early. It had taken several double-checkings of her Guide to reassure herself that she had not fallen into some crazy time warp and that everyone else was just late. Hey, caffeine did strange things to an already strange mind. Just ask her roommates.]

[The service had been lovely, of course, and Brittany had thoroughly enjoyed singing the new music. It had been simple enough to learn. A bit depressing at times, but a lot of the messages were very uplifting in their lyrics. She particularly liked the one about getting lifted up so she could stand on mountains. Mountains were cool.]

[And as she sat--well, bounced on the cushions of the seat--in the rented room, she was watching Hot Pants with a mixture of adrenaline-fueled amusement and more than a little curiosity.]
