[Present for work as usual, Raidou appears more like a stoic bouncer in the tea shop than anything, watching business as usual from behind the counter. He really didn't understand what it meant to be an Assistant Manager so he did odd things every now and then such as preparing tea and serving customers. Sometimes he helped prepare snacks or worked the cash register (that took some time).]

[Raidou glances over at Polly. Is it okay to sit on the counters?]

[Feeling eyes on her, Polly returns his glance, then gives a smile. It doesn't occur to her that it might not be alright to sit on counters. She owns these ones, after all.]

You can have some tea, too, if you want.

[Well, Manager's decision in the end really.]

Hm? Oh, thank you Polly-san, but I'm fine.

[curious_copycat]

If you're sure.

[She scoots down off of the counter and sneaks a raspberry almond tart out of the pastry case. Rather than bothering to fetch a saucer from the kitchen, she materializes one and plops the sweet down on it before returning to her seat.]

Do you like working here, so far? [she asks, turning that quizzical, too-bright gaze on him more steadily, this time.]

[He watches and wonders if he should say bad idea, but it's a slow day. One tart missing isn't going to make much of a difference right now]

Yes, I do. [He retains his usual expression of blank.]

[And, somewhere in the back of Polly's mind, the part of her that likes a challenge is stirred.]

Have you been an assistant manager before? What did you do back in your world?

[Oh we can do this.]

No, I have not. I worked as a Detective at the Narumi Detective Agency.

[Her eyes light up with interest, and she leans forward a bit.]

Oh, that sounds fun! What kind of cases did you get?

The usual. Missing persons, stolen goods, rumors...

[Though... Pixie has been quite open] ... Supernatural phenomena.

[This piques her curiosity even more--between Calabi-Yau and the Thor, she's still a bit fuzzy on exactly where the boundary between natural and supernatural actually is...]

What kind of supernatural phenomena?

Demons usually... Kidnapping people into their realm or being used for other means. Some odd cases crop up every now and again.

[She gives a thoughtful nod. She's never had trouble with the demons, here, but she supposes they must not get along with everybody.]

What kind of other means? And what kind of odd cases?

Possessions, demons gods, things like that...

Was it fun? Doing all of these cases and fighting demon gods?

I enjoy my job, but one should not consider it fun. The minor cases could be entertaining, but each detective in my family puts their life on the line to ensure the safety of the people.

Should not... [She echoes contemplatively.] But if you enjoy it doesn't that mean it's fun...?
