[Sup coworker?? This young girl here has actually taken up hedge trimming herself! The fellow hedge-trimmer had attempted to stick to typical trimming, she's a Gardener so this surely can't be any hard.

Like him she got bored and started to do shapes with her listed hedges. Some came out looking like pumpkins, various fruits, and at this moment she has gone and trimmed what looks to be a dog!

Satisfied with the results she's about to move onto the next until she spots a hedge she hasn't gotten to yet! She stares visibly surprised, before she begins to clasp her hands together excitedly.] Wow that is really beautiful!

[Spotting Erik she moves over, smiling widely.] Hello! Did you trim this hedge? It's very good!!

[To be honest, Erik had noticed the hedges that were not plain and/or round as he passed by to attend to his own. They may or may not have provided some small form of inspiration to try his own hand at being creative, since he saw no reason not to be.

When Erik is approached by this girl, he doesn't recognize her immediately as a fellow co-worker because he had kept mostly to himself this month. He would, however, notice her work should she mention it.

For now, however:]

Yes, that one is mine. And surely you flatter me; no matter how it looks, I assure you it took far more effort than necessary.

[At least he would assume it did.]

Well I think the more effort you put, the more better and satisfied with your results you are! That's how I usually felt when I took care of my garden back at home.

[She's all cheer and excitement here, beaming as she takes a closer look at the creative design.]

I don't think I could make something like this! I've only done pumpkins mostly, though I did just finish up trimming a hedge to look like my dog Bec! It took a while but it was worth it, hehe. The pumpkins fit what with the holiday coming up.

Well, yes, but I doubt my employer would agree with lessened effectiveness all for the sake of art. [Not that it seems to bother Erik in the slightest, so he gives a small shrug of his shoulders.]

Ah, so you're the one who has been trimming all of those. I was starting to wonder.

Maaybe, but I think the tourist will be real happy at the craftsmanship that it shouldn't matter much!

[she likes to see the better side of things. she moves back to seat herself down next to him, smiling widely.]

Yes! You've seen them?? It felt a little boring just to do simple trimming so I thought I'd get creative. It's really fun!

I have seen them. I've passed by them quite often; it breaks up the mundane squares and round circles that seem to be the popular trend when it comes to these... hedges.

[A cheerful sort of girl, he notes to himself.]

Erik, by the way.

They are popular that way, but still boring. This way they'll be some spark.

[Green eyes gleam a little, smiling at the introduction.]

I'm Jade, it's nice to meet you Erik!

[An incline of the head.] A pleasure. Are you new to the ship?

[A quick nod.] I am! I've only been here for a few weeks, this is my first job working actually.

Then you haven't chosen a particularly bad one. I'm sure you've seen some on the list that look absolutely embarrassing. Try to avoid them as best you can.

Liking it so far, though?

Oh yeah, some of them don't seem really suited for me. Trimming isn't all that hard from gardening though so this was a good choice!

I am!! It's all so new to me, but I'm liking it.

Interesting. Everyone seems to have different reaction to finding themselves stranded on a giant space ship - yours is certainly more light-hearted than most.

[She sorta kicks her feet a little.]

Hmmm well, it's always better to be optimistic in these kind of situations! You won't be able to get through a lot without holding your head up. Of course I do want to fix everything and keep my promise I made back in the game but.. for now I'll just have to do what I can.
