In the 'idiot's defence, working two jobs, then coming home at night to flop out on his bed and work until he fell asleep on a system for Mello didn't help that he hasn't done much checking. Plus. It was, indeed, Mello's post that gave him the idea.

Cut loose and have fun for once, they obviously WANTED everyone to have a good time. Being responsible got him killed at home, time to test irresponsible mildly once in a while where he couldn't really truthfully die- according to the stories.

Indeed, Matt isn't wearing pants. Not his at least.

But someone was kind enough to loan him their skirt. Had Matt the ability to comprehend 'look up' he'd have seen his pants draped over a low hanging sign. Instead, he's sitting with his hands cupped, peeking out of one eye while he waits for Mello.

Mello found him wearing a skirt and he actually asked himself if this was any better.
No, it wasn't, really.

The blond approached Matt, an obvious "not amused" expression on his face and mostly reproving everything he was seeing. "Having fun?"

It's at least down to his calves, so there wont be any chance of peek-a-boo'ing by accident.
To Matt who isn't inebriated, that look would spell disaster, to Matt who's absolutely shitfaced, that look is simply just Mello. Mello who he's always more than glad to see.

Matt's gloved hands hold themselves up, still cupped, nodding his head. The gloves drip 'water', "Savd' you some." he hiccups, "Knew you're comin'."

And Mello didn't even take the glove. Nor he bothered to look and grab for matt's pants, rather he just wanted to get him home now. "What's the point, Matt?" not that he'd be able to properly answer that question much less understand what Mello asked.

And Mello suddenly grabbed Matt's wrist - at the hand that was offering a glove - and with a frown he tugged at it "we are going. You also have 'water' back in the apartment. And some clothes."
