[You can usually tell when someone is awaiting company, especially at a bar. Tonight, that one man is Erik, and he is focused on making sure a certain someone celebrates her birthday. Whether she particularly enjoys the idea or otherwise.
Birthday celebrations were novel concepts, after all, and though the gesture was more social than usual coming from the man, he saw no reason not to "invite" her. As of late, he felt any reason for a good drink was worth being social for.
