Lucifer was not amused. Not surprised, of course - he'd never expected a warning to be effective. The fact that it hadn't been merely proved that he was right and the angel was wrong, to what should be no one's surprise. He was, naturally, gratified to be proven correct, but mostly, he was annoyed by the fact that, now that he had caught someone trying to get into the room, he was forced to do something about it. To make matters worse, it was clear that the human he had caught knew something of magic and was employing it to be even more of a pest than he might have been otherwise.
With a mental sigh, he willed himself inside the labyrinth he had created, standing in a doorway behind this annoyance. "I'd appreciate it if you'd stop that." His words were polite and his tone more one of boredom than anything else, but his eyes were cold and his expression more formal than friendly. He had manners - he would begin with a polite request. It was always the best way to begin, he'd found. If, of course, it proved ineffective, then he'd be forced to take steps, but if he didn't have to exert himself further in what was meant to be his retirement, why bother?
