[Indeed, such a sight could make a tech savvy teenager drool in excitement. As for a simple country boy such as Lloyd, who grew up with a dwarf in the middle of a forest, where chopping wood was considered fun, the drool formed was most likely from confusion and brain overload. But Lloyd wasn't drooling quite yet, though he did seem slightly overwhelmed with the colorful games and sparkly screens. And, as his eyes swept the area, none of his seemed to work on the power of Exshperes, as technology seemed to in Tethe'alla. Nope, not one! That was certainly a relief -- had there been Exspheres, Lloyd wouldn't have been able to enjoy any of these things. He gave his own Exshpere a glance (quickly, so as not to be noticed doing it) before looking back and forth and the sight before him]

Woahhh... and all of this is just to play with?

[Hope didn't want to laugh. He certainly didn't think he was better than anyone from a less advanced planet and didn't want Lloyd to think that he did, but a small chuckle escaped him at the sound of his friend's amazement. It wasn't a malicious or mocking chuckle, but Hope still felt bad.]

Sorry. But yeah, all of these are games. Wanna try one?

Huh? Sorry for what?

[It wasn't a malicious laugh, so Lloyd didn't pick up anything special about it. If it had been Zelos, questions might have been asked, but ... Hope was not Zelos, by a long shot. The confusion is quickly brushed off!]

Yeah, definitely! I'm not gonna just stand around and stare at all this stuff.

[Well, he had been trained by Zelos...

He leads Lloyd through the maze of wonderment until they arrive at a whack-a-mole.]

I think this might be a good place to start. It's pretty easy. These fake animals are gonna try to pop out of these holes, and all you've gotta do is hit as many of them as you can with this.

[He holds up the foam hammer.]

[he takes the hammer and pokes the foam with his finger]

Huh? But this isn't gonna do any damage... well, I guess I could hit it really hard... [Is this a joke weapon?]

[He can't help but chuckle. Oh Lloyd.]

You don't need to do damage. They're made of plastic. Think of them as toys. All you got to do is hit them, and the game will be able to tell and give you a point. You have to get as many points as possible before time runs out.
