A ninja is always prepared.
This is one of the many rules that the shinobi system drills into every young aspiring mind that attends the Ninja Academy in Konoha, the Village Hidden in the Leaves. It's the rule that Ino thinks of long and hard as she sends a text message to Shikamaru as a precaution and a fail safe. She could count on him (or Chouji, but he wasn't around at the moment) if something went wrong.
After she's sure she's done what she can to prepare, she grabs her medical and weapon pouches, shoves her feet into her sandals, and heads out of her shoddy, tiny apartment she was staying in on the ship.
The halls are much more empty and quiet so early in the morning compared to their afternoon counterparts. All the better for her to get to Naruto's location as quickly as possible. As she runs she thinks of the possibilities, not to mention the chance that this was something she might not be able to fix. Her late sensei's face flashes in her mind but she shakes it off, picking up the pace by building chakra into her feet. The sooner she got there, the better.
Finally she arrives at Room 7-10 and before entering, she tugs a kunai out of her pouch and pushes the button to open the door.
"Naruto?" she calls out into the darkness, eyes darting about for any sign of movement. "Where are you? I have the bandages."
