What: Patchouli is taking the class on a field trip to New Gensokyo.

[It had taken a bit to prepare, but it was ready. After meeting her students and other guests at the entrance to New Gensokyo and taking them inside, she started to lead everyone to a clearing between the gate and the SDM, lecturing as she did so.]
You will be witnessing a danmaku match today. I advise you to pay close attention to how the layout of their spell cards are, as you will need to be making similar. After the match, you will be given time to work on your cards with others, and have space to do so. However, I advise you to follow these rules.
First of all, when watching the duel, please stay behind the barrier I will create. Danmaku can go in any direction, and, depending on the bullet, can seriously hurt those not prepared for it. Second, do not try to interfere with the match. You may yell and cheer all you want, but give them their distance and do not try to throw anything over the barrier and into the match.
When working on your cards, be sure to give ample room for them. This should be obvious, but it is worth mentioning. Yours will not be nearly as powerful as theirs, but they can still be damaging if struck at close range. During this time, I will be providing mana gems for you to test out cars with.
