He splashed along the edge of the lake, getting himself wet. He didn't mind though, it was so lovely here! He continued to circle the lake, occasionally stopping and walking towards the trees to sniff at something.]

People didn't always go home to disappear. It was disquieting... and comforting at the same time.
Sitting down on the edge of the docks crisscrossing the water, Sakura had to admire all of Amaterasu's work. Of all the gods and goddesses she'd met, Amaterasu had been the most proactive in creating. It was something Sakura could admire, and respect.
It helped fight off some of the influence of another goddess, too. Not that it was strong anymore. No, Sakura suspected that Aphrodite concentrated on that first burst of hormones to create bonds between people that they strengthened over time. She shoved Edward out of her mind, and looked out across the water.
Maybe she'd dip her feet in. If it'd be permissible.

Goddesses were capable of so many things, whether creating something like this Radiant Plane or resorting to trickery like Aphrodite had done. And perhaps Sakura is just akin to getting visitors from deities, but she'll notice a snake swimming through the waters, with scales as white as polished ivory. If Sakura's faith in deities was strong, she could probably see the red markings that adorned her body and the tiny winglets on either side of her face.
Spotting another visitor to her new home, Nuregami calmly swam closer to the dock, going to investigate and perhaps greet this new guest.

She pulls her feet up to the dock and sits sideways, watching the snake's progress. Sakura believed in gods, but her faith in them wasn't particularly high. To her, that first flash hinting that Nuregami was something more was the only one. "Hello," she said after a moment, still tense. "Nice day we're having."
