Admittedly, Fox wasn't entirely sure why he was so concerned with how Wolf was taking Richezza's sudden disappearance. The other pilot wasn't exactly his favorite person in the universe, and for damn good reason. They didn't have a very good history, and Fox couldn't help but be a little more wary of the wolf after recent revelations.
Even so, Fox wasn't the sort of person who could simply ignore someone who may be suffering. He was, according to Wolf at least, a goody-two shoes by nature. Rivals or not, Fox couldn't help but worry.
As soon as his conversation with Wolf had ended, he'd tossed on his shiny new jacket (he really hoped this human body thing wouldn't last long, he'd never get used to being without a nice fur coat) and headed out. It hadn't taken him long to find Wolf's place, despite the fact that he'd never been in this particular area of the ship before. He hesitated outside the door for a brief moment before knocking firmly.
"The doors open!" Wolf's voice called from the other side of the door. He finished off his fourth beer and put it on the table before reaching out for another and took his fifth from the case.
Fox cracked the door and peeked in before entering, closing the door behind him. It looked like Wolf had been drinking quite a bit. That usually wasn't a very good sign.
"It's fine. Pizza should still be warm." Wolf didn't look over at Fox when he spoke. His eyes were set forward towards the mantel across the room. He took another drink of his beer and set it down. He was feeling a nice heavy buzz now.
"I think at this point I'd eat it if it was left out for a week. I haven't eaten all day."
Fox almost cautiously took a seat on the couch, but didn't reach for the pizza just yet. He was more concerned with the other mercenary's well being than he was for his stomach at the moment, but he didn't really know how to go about inquiring about it.
Wolf watched Fox out of the corner of his eye before grabbing his own piece of pizza and taking a bite. Once he swallowed he spoke, returning his gaze to the mantel.
"You shouldn't not eat Pup. You'll stunt your growth."
"Just how young do you think I am? I'm pretty sure I'm done growing by now."
Fox took a bite of his own slice of pizza, glancing towards the mantel as well as if wondering just what was so interesting over there that Wolf kept staring at it.
After a couple seconds, he cocked an eyebrow and gave Wolf a sideways glance.
"You could stand a shower." Wolf chuckled and took another bite. He knew he was being hypocritical, what with all the drinks he'd had and the lack of a shower today, but he did enjoy poking fun at the younger pilot. It took his mind off things.
Not that it really mattered considering he'd gotten himself covered in dirt and machine grease while he was working on the planet, but at least his hair smelled clean? Well, whatever. Fox was certainly more comfortable with dealing with buzzed asshole Wolf than he would be dealing with depressed moody Wolf, if such a thing even existed.
Wolf chuckled again and continued eating. He couldn't tell exactly what this was but it wasn't bad. The company was appreciated as was the distraction. He'd get over it in time but for now it was still fresh. He knew talking might help but he wasn't ready for that yet. Maybe after another beer.

"I thought you were hungry."

Fox rubbed at the back of his neck a bit awkwardly and grabbed himself a slice of pizza.

"Hold it, did you just call me short?"
Reply
"I wouldn't say short. More like you could stand to grow an inch."

Fox snorted softly, but he wasn't really angry or anything. He couldn't really say he didn't expect Wolf to pick on him at least a little bit.
