Gamzee leaned back when he heard his friend's voice, grinning hazily as he looked around for him. Theeeere the motherfucker was! Sweet.
He waved one hand, expression hazy, and called back, "Hey there, my motherfucker! It's fucking great to all be seeing you." And it was! He hadn't spent enough motherfucking time with his bros while he was all up in this place. (How long had he been here again? It was kind of fucking fuzzy. A couple days now, he guessed!)
Equius stopped when he was next to the highblood, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck with the heel of his hand. He crouched to sit next to Gamzee, warily watching the dolphins. He still did not trust them and was prepared to shoot at them if they attempted to attack his friend.
"Yes, the entirety of this experience has been...disorienting and disconcerting at best. I trust you have kept busy with your--er--whatever it is you do to keep busy." He wasn't sure he wanted to know. The sopor slime pies were bad enough.
"...Or have you simply been with the dolphins all this time?"
"Uhhhh... I think I was all talking to this motherfucking purple human dude for a while."
Yeah, he'd pretty much been watching dolphins for a week or so. The magic of sopor slime, bro.
"I all tried to get someone to let me help out and shit, but people spent most of the memo yelling about things and I wasn't all that sure about what the motherfuck was goin' on," he continued, by way of explanation. "So I guess I've been out here for a while. Hahahahah." He looked out at them some more, at the soft waves and the artificial shore they lapped against. So fucking beautiful, even if it was all kinda fake, too.
"What's all been motherfucking happening with you, bro?" he asked, after a few dazed moments.
"Ah. I am familiar with that purple human." Even if his blood wasn't purple--
"I? Er... I have spent the majority of my time aboard the Thor searching for disappeared individuals." Without any luck. People kept talking about wormholes, but the library's archives honestly didn't offer a very in depth explanation on this phenomenon. "We must be on the lookout; it appears that vanishing happens frequently in this environment." He only worried that he'd turn around and Aradia would suddenly be gone.
"With what do you presently require assistance? I should be happy to provide."
"Whoa, shit, vanishing?" Gamzee's smile faded a bit towards worry. "None of our fucking bros have, right? We were all of us up in that motherfucking crazy memo, I thought..." How long ago had that been? Fuck, he was no fucking good with time, everything got all hazy when he thought too much about it. Um, he'd just talked to Tavros, and Sollux, so they were okay, but what if his best friend disappeared? That would be pretty motherfucking terrible!
"Me, bro? Ahahaha! I should all ask about all my best motherfuckers. I wanna help out, but everyone seems to have their shit under control, I guess."
I saw you sent me an IM. I was unconscious at my computer, I'M SORRY BB. Your day gone any better?buildsm00chbotsMarch 20 2011, 02:33:52 UTC
"Yes, the situation does seem...relatively contained, oddly enough," he pondered. "One would think these circumstances should yield more calamitous strife in light of our spatial displacement--not that I am complaining--"
Gamzee seemed to be acting his normal self so far. Equius wasn't sure whether he was puzzled or relieved. Was it possible to be both? That red-blood must have got his wires crossed.
Equius finally relaxed, sitting back with one knee bent, not daring to touch the bow hanging from his shoulder for fear of breaking it, but warily watching the dolphins all the while. "You truly enjoy the presence of these animals? It does not seem to matter to you that they are inherently sea-dwellers."
Much better now! Though it did get almost cinematically absurd for a bit. XDfaygosmatespritMarch 20 2011, 02:57:43 UTC
"I have no fucking clue what you just said," Gamzee stated, breezily, without a hint of self-consciousness. "As long as everyone's all fucking safe and shit, though, I guess it's all motherfucking cool, yeah?" He laughed, bright and warbling, and absently started fiddling with an empty Faygo bottle, turning it in his hands, holding it up so the light shone through the lingering drops of soda in the bottom of it.
"What? Nah, bro. It don't fucking bother me one bit. Why should it?" He smiled out at them, at their arching grey forms cutting the water into smooth ripples. "Kinda all remind me of my lusus and shit."
