Who: purplebiker and buildsm00chbots What: Playing with the dolphins. No, really. When: About an hour after this conversation. Where: The swimming pool! Warnings: Caution: Log may contain sweat.
Richezza was already splashing in the shallows, a big goofy grin on his face. He has an athletic build, though he was still a little thin. Standing at 5'7", he stared up at the ceiling, then fell back laughing.
However, Equius' voice grabbed his attention. He stood up and waved eagerly, then ran out to greet him.
"Hey, good to see you, Equius!"
He gestured to his bag sitting on a nearby bench.
"I bought you the milk. It's over there. I figured an active guy like you would want some. There's a chocolate, and a vanilla."
"Um." He coughed into his fist. Meeting in person was always so difficult, inexplicably, even after conversing over video feed. Why was that? It was awkward. Crap. He was just an awkward kid. "Thank you," he replied. Richezza couldn't possibly have known about Equius' staunch obsession with milk.
(Could he?)
He mustered up the will power to draw closer to the bench instead of just standing in the doorway like an idiot. He did not yet understand the distinction between chocolate and vanilla; but milk was milk, right? "You have tamed these dolphins?" he inquired.
Very, very hesitantly, keeping a girth between himself and the killer dolphin, he stepped over the side of the swimming pool, running spikes and all. Suddenly he was in shallow water up to his knees.
It was...not entirely unpleasant.
"This is absurd. Don't you feel silly? I feel silly."
He flinched every time the nearest dolphin squeaked.
"No, I feel fine. Refreshed, even. Because the water is nice and cool."
He stepped toward Equius, hands out to the side in a shrug.
"Because I like to relax. You just need to calm yourself down. And if you're secretly afraid of dolphins, you could go ask one. I bet they're smart enough.
But I'm guess you're probably not scared, because if you were, you wouldn't have come in the first place."
"How--how dare you accuse me of being silly!" he sputtered. "It is you, sir, who are utterly silly! Tamer-of-dolphins and rider-of-two-wheeled vehicles!"
For a pampered boy who had grown up being respected and deferred to, it came as an utter shock that someone aside from Nepeta felt comfortable joking around with him. He had not had much of that in his preadolescence.
And very hesitantly--because really, the only person he knew how to play with was Nepeta--he shoved a wave of water at Richezza with his hand in turn.

As if by magic, a dolphin swam up to the shallows, and started making clicking noises, seeming to be staring at Equius, making Richezza laugh.
"I think she wants you to come in!"
Reply
"Why? What does it feed on? What does its diet consist of?!"

At this point, Richezza had his arms crossed, giving Equius an annoyed look.
"Come on, just come into the water already. And I'll buy you more milk later."

(But hearing about dolphins and seeing one in the flesh were two very different things, he realized.)
"In any case, they haven't killed you yet, though you have seemingly subjected yourself to them numerous times. That is a small comfort."

"You're not doing this on purpose, are you?"

He was dead serious.
Ah, to be young and an idiot...

Once again, he folded his arms and shifted his weight onto one leg.

Clearly bike-riding was a very silly thing to do.

"Equius, it's not bad to be silly. There's just times for it, and times where it's not appropriate. Like right now, for example.
But I can change that."
With that said, he splashes some water at Equius with his foot.

"That's the spirit!"
He splashed more water at Equius, grinning from ear to ear.

...Well, but not Equius. Not right now.
He reached over to push Richezza into deeper water. (For obvious reasons, this was done only with his fingertips.)
